The first MultiMOD2 Beta has been released. You can find it here
The first beta is mostly testing the new rebels. Be aware that there still are a few bugs in the code and a lot in the DataBase. We're working on that, we're aware of it. We'll also warn you that we haven't streamlined the code yet, so don't be surprised if things run a bit slow or starting a new game is slow. We also know that there aren't any real "big new features" compared to 1.4a, but trust us, the code for the new rebels was quite some work, and there are some tweaks that aren't readily visible, especially in the diplomatic & economic fields.
As always, report bugs, mistakes & crashes on our forums. Better to have things reported we already know than have some things stay for the final version.
Also, in non-MultiMOD related news: a friend of mine has released Buzzamp: a musicquiz using your own m3u-files. Check it out on his site!

The new MultiMOD2 rebels are nearly finished now. The DataBase is ready, many thanks to Yahoo for the basic DataBase, and many thanks to everyone that sent a DataBase in.
The rebels now need some tweaking done and they'll be ready. We now have some time to think about other stuff. One of the more popular ideas in the team is making Naval Units able to intercept. No more Iraqi fleet passing a US fleet without starting combat. This would make a military naval blockade more realistic.
Speaking of blockades: Turbo has given us a very good idea and basic groundplan for real economic blockades, which we can hopefully get in before the release.
We can always use new ideas, by the way, so please, don't hesitate to post them on our forums or contact us!

We've finally changed to nowastudios.be which should make the mod at least look a bit more professional.
To help with MultiMOD2, we are looking for motivated people. Specifically, we're looking for SDK-modders (meaning: knowledge of C++ and knowledge of the SP2 SDK). If you feel like you can contribute to the NoWA team, feel free to contact us with your name and a link to an example SP2 mod for download.
*update 09/04/2006: Please DO NOT upload example-mods to GLPortal.com or Superpower2.net without approval from the site administrators! There are plenty of free filehosts out there where you can upload stuff. Example mods from non-public sites without approval will NOT be accepted by NoWA.

The loss of the Sourcecode for MultiMOD 1.3x through 1.4x has left us no choice to begin again, somewhat more professionally this time. Not only are we working on a real site - instead of this quick DreamWeaver-example, but we're also full of plans for MultiMOD2! The different aspects of MultiMOD will be improved upon or even get a full overhaul. The rebels, for one, will become more realistic and will no longer be one nation, but one rebel group per nation. This should give some strategic diplomatic , economic and military options for messing with your enemies. Imagine supporting the rebels in your neighbour, only to realise that their patience wears thin and you face an invasion to get rid of the rebels hiding in your territory!
Other changes will include attempts to make the economy better, at least one addition for hosts and ofcourse diplomacy and AI tweaks. Stay tuned!
